- i wrote out all of the x's and added how many there were



b) you can add the exponents [3+5=8]



2. i think you forgot to write down what equation you wanted us to evaluate



3. a) x2*x2*x2=x*x*x*x*x*x=x6



- i wrote out all the x2's, then i broke those down into just x's, then i added how many x's there were.



b) multiply 2*3 [(x2)3] to get 6, then you get x6



4. xyxyxyxy, xxxxyyyy, x4y4



- wrote out the four xy's



- rearranged the variables



- counted the # of variables, put in the exponents for the # of variables
