If men are the sexual agressors, why no remove their private parts as opposed to the physically weaker sex? If a Muslim believes PIETY is so pleasing to Allah, why not castrate yourself? Doesnt that show Allah you are putting your money where your mouth and there is no question of your belief?

Has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam.

It is a culture in Africa.

Masais are not Muslims and they do their women.

Some tribal people in Tanzania and Kenya who are not Muslims do their women too.

Somalis have been doing this for centuries, so have Sudanese.

It is purely a Tribal and cultural thing.

Indian, Pakistanis, Indonesians, Arabs, West Africans, Malays etc do not do this.

The issue of gender biases is a deep issue in all religions. Christianity has its problems too. Using Leviticus as an example has created some extremest.
Because they believe that a woman who does not like sex will not cheat. It's barbaric, of course . . .

The haunting photo I once saw of the practice had the mother holding the daughter while the father made the cut, up under the girls best dress. It still haunts me, especially the scream on the child's face. One wonders about the photographer who stood by like that, you know? Seems so very, very cruel.

Probably because Islam is deeply misogynistic (mind u, other religions don't like women much either) and sees women as property rather than people.
This is done to decrease the woman's sex drive, thereby making her less of a temptation to men. I find it appalling. I guess that on a theological level, men are "superior" and this makes them less likely to be "tempted". If that's the case, they just proved to me that women are superior, because they have the power to be tempting and overcome the men's piety.
Circumcision for males is required but clitoretomy for females is not. This is an old tradition in some countries but not an islamic teaching.
FGM (female genital mutilation)is a cultural phenomenon, not a religious one. Christians and animists have practiced FGM in Africa and Latin America, and there are many Muslim peoples who have either rejected the practice, or never taken it up. Where Muslims practice it, some highly questionable religious justifications have arose to protect it, which is from where you get this perception. Chastity is required by both men and women in the Qur'an, and harming oneself, or others innocent of wrongdoing, is severely frowed upon in Islamic traditions.
In some countries, it is sinful married a woman who have sexual pleasure. Woman (for them) was created for conception only.
kinda stupid if you ask me...like cranking a car and leaving it to idle in the driveway all day...plus, it shows the level of ignorance and stupidity these people have, because it is a medically KNOWN fact that stimulation increases blood flow which increases fertility..so go ahead and cut off your noses to spite your faces guys...when your wife either has no children or a very limited number of children...you will know why.
Clitorectomies is African not Islamic Mr too smart and in Egypt that (10% are christian) some of them do Clitorectomies too like some the Muslim do...almost all the Islamic countries out of Africa do not know Clitorectomis at all..i wish you be reasonable and careful when you say any thing her....
