Please Help?

5) For the equation x- square root of x =0 , perform the following:

a) Solve for all values of x that satisfies the equation.

b) Graph the functions y=x and x- square root of x on the same graph (by plotting points if necessary). Show the points of intersection of these two graphs.

c) How does the graph relate to part a?

5) For the equation x- square root of x =0 , perform the following:

a) Solve for all values of x that satisfies the equation.

x-鈭歺=0 add 鈭歺 to each side

x=鈭歺 square both sides

x^2=x divide both sides by x

x=1

x=0 is also an answer since 0-鈭?=0

b) Graph the functions y=x and x- square root of x on the same graph (by plotting points if necessary). Show the points of intersection of these two graphs.

I can't graph here.

c) How does the graph relate to part a?

They intersect at (0, 0)

The answers you get for x is where the line crosses the x-axis.

For example, if you solve an equation and get x=-3, x=5, the line should intersect the x-axis at (-3,0) and (5,0)
