What tests can be performed to determine sodium chloride?

Its for chemistry and I need a test to show how sodium chloride can be determined.

Colligative properties of a material are properties that depend on the numerical amount of substance (number of particles present) rather than the mass of the substance. Some examples of colligative properties are osmotic pressure, freezing point depression, and boiling point elevation.

If you dissolve a known mass of a solid in water (dilute solution), you can measure the boiling point or freezing point (relative to that of pure water). For dilute solutions, the difference in boiling or freezing temperature is proportional to the number of moles of dissolved substance (per unit volume or mass of solvent). You can use this kind of experiment to get the molecular weight of the solid.

If you get your experimental molecular weight to be the same as that of NaCl, then you did a good job! Watch out though, since colligative properties "count particles" you will actually get half the molecular weight of NaCl because there are two particles in each formula unit. (There is a way for correcting for this if you know it ahead of time.)

You can find the equation for boiling point elevation or freezing point depression in most introductory chemistry or chemical engineering textbooks.

Easily we can identify by tasting.

For determine anione(Cl),Little of the substance taken in a test tube and add a little of conc:H2SO4 and heat it.If a colourless gas is evolved and a white fumes evolved when a glass rod dipped in NH2OH introduced in the issuing gas.

For determining cation(Na),I don't know.
